As many of you know we live adjacent to Maryland, a state that makes it almost impossible to obtain a concealed carry license.  Every time I drive to Maryland I must stop and lock my carry sidearm in the trunk's lock box.  Then retrieve it when I return to Pennsylvania.  Passage of this bill will allow me to carry in Maryland (subject to Maryland's laws of course) and not impede my smooth travel between Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Come on Senate - let's get this thing passed.

Maryland Handgun Course Scheduled

Manchester, MD – A Maryland Handgun License Qualification course will be held on Sunday May 7th 2017.
The course will emphasize the safe and proper handling and use of handguns.  Participants will learn about firearm safety, parts and operations, shooting fundamentals, care and cleaning, storage options, selection and the Maryland laws concerning firearms.
This course meets the requirements for issuance of the Maryland Handgun Qualification License.
The cost is $80.00

NRA Training Counselor

Tuesday December 6th, 2016

Today I was certified as an NRA Training Counselor, this is the highest level for instructors in the NRA Training world. It allows me to train others to become NRA Certified Instructors in the various courses that I do teach.

Beginning in January 2017 I will be scheduling courses for instructors. I plan to do one course in each major discipline (Pistol, Rifle, or Shotgun) every year.

I will also be doing courses like Range Safety Officer, which is authorized as i am a Chief Range Safety Officer myself.

These courses develop instructors, not better shooters.  If you are interested in helping to expand the sport, defend the Constitution and the Second Amendment, then you should consider becoming an instructor.  It's not an easy program but it is both fun and rewording.
